Vietnam Gold Prices Plummet Amid Global Market Volatility
The domestic gold price saw a significant drop on August 19, decreasing by 2.1 million VND/tael across various business units in Vietnam.
Phu Quy listed SJC gold bar prices at 139.7-14.2.7 million VND/tael (buying - selling), while DOJI and Bao Tin Minh Chau listed similar prices at 139.7-14.2.7 million and 140.2-144.1 million VND/tael, respectively.
The price of gold rings also saw a decline, with Phu Quy listing the price at 139.7-14.2.7 million VND/tael, AIDOJI Group listing it at 140.5-144.5 million, and Bao Tin Minh Chau listing it at 140.2-144.1 million.
World gold prices also saw a decline, with the price listed around $4,353.1 per ounce, down 47.6 USD from the previous day.
The world gold market is under pressure due to high global bond yields and the weakening of technology and semiconductor stocks.
