Vietnam Gold Prices Soar as World Rates Hit New High
Gold prices in Vietnam saw a sharp increase on August 23, closing at 144.6-147.6 million VND/tael for SJC gold bars and 145.5-149.5 million VND/tael for gold rings.
This marks an increase of 3.6 million VND/tael from last week's prices, with a buying-selling difference of 3 million VND/tael.
For buyers who purchased SJC gold bars on August 16 and sold them today, they would have made a profit of 600,000 VND/tael at Saigon Jewelry Company SJC and DOJI, while those who bought gold rings from Phu Quy Jewelry Group would have profited by 1.5 million VND/tael or 600,000 VND/tael.
World gold prices also saw a significant increase, reaching 4,602.4 USD/ounce on August 23, up 226.8 USD from last week's closing price.
