Vietnamese Gold Buyers Adapt to Declining Prices
Gold prices in Vietnam have declined recently, but customers' behavior towards buying gold has changed. According to Ms. Ngo Hoai An, a customer from Hanoi, she used to spend most of her money on gold when it was popular, but now she only allocates about 1/3 or 1/5 of her funds towards gold.
An said that buying gold is no longer the default choice for her, and she considers other forms of savings before making a purchase. Another customer, Mr. Truong Van Tan, also mentioned that his trading psychology has changed, and he no longer buys gold immediately when prices fluctuate.
The current market situation shows that gold prices have decreased by 800,000 VND/tael in both buying and selling directions compared to the previous morning. As of 2:45 PM on September 22, DOJI Group listed gold ring prices at 142-146 million VND/tael.
