Vietnamese Gold Prices Plummet After Peak in September

The gold market in Vietnam is experiencing losses for those who bought at the peak price of 148.7 million VND per ounce on September 1st, 2026.

According to current prices, buyers would still incur a loss of 7.4 - 8.9 million VND per ounce if they resold now, depending on the brand.

The prevailing price of gold is currently 141.3-144.3 million VND/ounce, significantly lower than the peak reached in September.

BTMC's customers are facing the highest losses, with a difference of 8.9 million VND per ounce compared to their initial purchase price, while buyers at Mi Hong suffered a smaller loss of around 4.5 million VND/ounce.
