Vietnamese Gold Prices Remain Unchanged Amid Ongoing Market Volatility
Gold prices in Vietnam remained unchanged on October 4th, with buyers at the week's peak losing nearly 4 million VND. The domestic gold market was stable compared to yesterday's closing price.
The listed prices at Saigon Jewelry Company (SJC) show SJC gold is currently pegged at 140.5 - 143.5 million VND/ounce, with the same price at DOJI and Bao Tin Minh Chau. 99.99% SJC gold rings are traded at 140 - 143 million VND/ounce.
Compared to Monday morning (September 28th), SJC gold bars have increased by only 100,000 VND/ounce in both buying and selling prices. SJC gold rings also increased by 100,000 VND/ounce.
The market is still in a tug-of-war and has not yet formed a clear trend. The spread between buying and selling prices remains high, with the gap commonly around 3 million VND/ounce, reaching 4 million VND/ounce at Bao Tin Minh Chau.
