The global gold market saw prices rise above $4,400 per ounce on August 12 due to increased safe-haven demand amidst rising tensions in the Strait of Hormuz.

In Vietnam's domestic market, SJC-branded gold bars and rings reached prices of 143.8 million VND and 143.3 million VND per tael, respectively, with a notable discrepancy between the two types of products.
