Vietnam's Gold Prices Dip in Line with Global Decline

Vietnam's gold prices dipped on Monday morning, echoing a decline in global bullion rates.

The Saigon Jewelry Company's gold bar price started the week down 0.34% to VND147.1 million (US$5,652.91) per tael, where one tael is equivalent to 37.5 grams or 1.2 ounces.

A similar drop was seen in the price of gold rings, which fell to VND146.6 million per tael.

Globally, gold prices edged down by 0.3% on Monday to $4,366.64 an ounce, as market participants assessed developments in the Middle East and their potential impact on inflation and interest rates.
