Vietnam's Gold Prices Plummet, Leaving Buyers with Significant Losses
Gold prices have been falling in Vietnam for several months now, causing buyers to incur significant losses. According to recent data from Laodong.vn, the price of SJC gold bars and 9999 plain gold rings has decreased by millions of VND per tael compared to June 22nd.
At Bao Tin Minh Chau, DOJI, and Phu Quy, the current buying price for SJC gold bars is around 142.2-146.1 million VND/tael, down from the selling price of 147.7-148 million VND/tael on June 22nd.
Gold buyers who purchased SJC gold bars at the time would suffer a loss of about 5.4-6 million VND/tael if they sold them now.
The decrease in price is not limited to SJC gold bars, as 9999 plain gold rings have also seen a significant drop in value. At Bao Tin Minh Chau, the current buying price for 9999 plain gold rings is around 142.3-146.3 million VND/tael, down from 144.2-147.7 million VND/tael on June 22nd.
