VIX Holds Steady Amid Rising Oil Prices and Geopolitical Tensions
India's volatility index, VIX, held steady at 11.25 on Tuesday, despite rising geopolitical tensions and higher crude prices.
The index remained relatively contained, moving between 9.24 and 11.57 in the early session, as renewed US-Iran hostilities pushed oil prices above $91 a barrel.
The rise in Brent crude added pressure to India's market risks, particularly with regard to inflation, trade deficit, and rupee considerations.
