Vysotsky: Ukraine Seeks Alternative Grain Exports Amid Polish Transit Capacity Issues
Ukraine's Minister of Agricultural Policy and Food, Taras Vysotsky, discussed the transit of Ukrainian agricultural products through Poland amid an ongoing crisis.
Vysotsky stated that Ukraine is in dialogue with all its neighboring countries regarding opportunities for transit, including through Poland. He emphasized that the request focuses on transit and subsequent export to third countries.
The key markets for Ukrainian agricultural exports are North Africa, Southeast Asia, and the Middle East, according to Vysotsky.
Poland currently lacks the capacity to store agricultural products in customs warehouses, which would make it possible to consolidate shipments for onward delivery to traditional markets. Kyiv has asked its Polish counterparts to reconsider this possibility.
