Wall Street Stocks Rebound on Steady Oil Prices
Stocks on Wall Street rose on Wednesday as oil prices and bond yields held relatively steady.
The S&P 500 index increased by 0.4%, while the Dow Jones Industrial Average gained 203 points, or 0.4%, as of 1:28 p.m. Eastern time.
Technology and communication services stocks led the way, with chipmaker Nvidia up 3.6% and computer memory seller Micron Technology gaining 1.2%. Meta added 2.4% and Netflix rose 1.3%.
Banks and credit card issuers also contributed to the market's gains, with Capital One Financial rising 2.7% and American Express adding 1.6%.
