Wall Street Stocks Rebound on Steady Oil Prices and Bond Yields
Stocks on Wall Street rose Wednesday as oil prices and bond yields held relatively steady.
The S&P 500 index increased by 0.4%, while the Dow Jones Industrial Average gained 203 points, or 0.4%, to 1:28 p.m. Eastern time.
The Nasdaq composite also rose 0.3%.
Relatively steady oil prices and bond yields relieved some pressure on the market after two weak days.
Technology and communication services stocks contributed to some of the strongest gains, with chipmaker Nvidia rising 3.6%.
