Western Canada Grain Prices Rise Amid Russian Export Restrictions
Shipping restrictions have been in place for Russian grain exports from shallow-water ports on the Black Sea since July 10 due to safety concerns amid drone strikes in the wider area, according to market sources. This restriction has affected the flow of grain out of Russia.
The impact of these disruptions is being reflected in Western Canada's grain prices. As of July 31, average grain prices at various areas in the region have been reported by PDQ, a company owned by the Alberta Wheat Commission. The prices are as follows:
