Western Canadian Grain Prices Vary Across Regions

Grain prices in Western Canada have been reported by PDQ, owned by the Alberta Wheat Commission. The figures are based on average prices at various locations as of September 22, 2026. Prices for CWRS (Western Red Spring) wheat ranged from $13.5 to $13.0 per metric tonne.

CWAD (Western Amber Durum), CPSR (Canadian Prairie Spring Red), and CDA (Canadian Dark Amber) prices also varied across regions, with the lowest price of $11.5 for CWAD in Peace country. Canola prices ranged from $320.96 to $307.72 per metric tonne.

The Alberta region had higher prices compared to Saskatchewan, but variations were seen within each province. Producers are advised to check basis levels with local grain companies as prices may differ.
