Wheat Futures Decline Amid Ongoing Peace Negotiations Between Russia and Ukraine

Wheat futures declined overnight trading as peace attempts continue between Russia and Ukraine.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy met with U.S. officials in New York, while Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov also met separately with the same officials.

Zelenskyy stated that peace negotiations will likely take place in the United Arab Emirates, although no date has been set.

Ukraine Agriculture Minister Taras Vysotskyi said there's little chance for an end to port infrastructure and vessel targeting in the near future, as Moscow rejected all proposals from Kyiv to stop such hostilities.
