Wheat Prices Rise Amid Ukraine-Russia Truce Hopes
The wheat complex is trading higher across three exchanges on Tuesday.
Chicago SRW contracts are gaining between 2 to 4 cents, while KC HRW futures are up by 1 to 2 ¼ cents.
MPLS spring wheat is also seeing gains, with prices increasing by 7 to 8 ¼ cents at midday.
The recent development that may be contributing to these price increases involves a potential truce between Ukraine and Russia on energy infrastructure attacks.
On Monday, President Trump called for Ukraine to halt the attacks, which reportedly prompted an open response from the Kremlin.
The two countries have agreed to pause the attacks if Russia agrees to do so as well.
