Wheat prices surged on Friday due to uncertainty over the conflict between Russia and Ukraine.

The Chicago soft and Kansas City hard red varieties saw the biggest gains, while Ukraine's agricultural ministry predicted a decline of more than 25% in grain planting for 2027, with an estimated five million to seven million hectares lower than in 2026.

Soybeans continued their four-session winning streak, supported by Chicago soyoil prices.
