Wheat Prices Surge as Planting Progress Lags
The wheat market is experiencing a rally on Tuesday, with Chicago SRW contracts climbing 7 to 9 cents. KC HRW futures are also up, gaining 12 to 13 cents in the front months, while MPLS spring wheat contracts have risen 8 to 9 cents at midday.
Recent trade data from the Census Bureau revealed that wheat exports in August totaled 2.057 million metric tons, a 23.47% decrease compared to the same period last year. However, this figure marks a 24.83% increase from the previous month.
