White Gold Project Expected to Generate Strong Economics with Estimated After-Tax NPV of $1.86 Billion
White Gold Corp., a mining company, has announced that it filed a preliminary economic assessment for its White Gold Project in the Yukon Territory of Canada. The study estimates an after-tax net present value (NPV) of C$1,856 million at a base-case gold price of US$3,600 per ounce.
The proposed open-pit mine is expected to produce 188,000 ounces of gold annually over its estimated 9.4-year life. At a higher gold price of US$4,500 per ounce, the after-tax NPV increases to C$2,911 million with an internal rate of return (IRR) of 57%.
The White Gold Project covers four deposits and draws on approximately 60% of the company's current resource ounces. The study includes inferred resources, which are not considered reserves.
