Wison Teams Up with Bumi Armada and FPSO Ventures on Floating LNG Projects
China's Wison New Energies has partnered with Malaysian Bumi Armada and FPSO Ventures to develop floating liquefied natural gas (LNG) projects using an integrated lease-and-operate model. The partnership aims to combine the strengths of each company in FLNG design, construction, asset ownership, and long-term operation.
The agreement was announced on September 20, 2026, but no specific project details or financial terms were disclosed. Wison will gain access to an additional sales channel for its FLNG units without requiring developers to own the floating liquefaction infrastructure outright.
Bumi Armada brings experience in developing, owning, and operating floating production facilities, while FPSO Ventures focuses on operations and maintenance of offshore production units.
