Woodside's Louisiana LNG Project Soars Towards 2029 Start-Up
Australia's Woodside is rapidly advancing its $17.5 billion Louisiana LNG project in the US, which aims to deliver its first cargo in 2029.
The project has reached a significant milestone, with construction activities gathering pace towards the target start-up date.
According to Woodside, the project's strategic location provides access to abundant and low-cost US natural gas, enabling it to deliver secure and reliable energy to customers.
Structural steel has been erected for both trains, while concrete pilings have progressed for Train 3. The two large LNG storage tanks are also taking shape, with each tank set to hold 235,000 cubic meters of LNG - equivalent to more than 90 Olympic-sized swimming pools.
