WTI Crude Oil Consolidation at Critical Juncture as $85.00 Threshold Looms
WTI crude oil has been consolidating within a symmetrical triangle since late July. The upper boundary of this triangle is around $85.00, and if prices break through it, they could target gains towards the high-$90s to $100 region.
The moving averages are also indicating a tug-of-war between buyers and sellers, with the 50 SMA having recently crossed above the 100 SMA. This suggests that momentum may be turning bullish, potentially providing support on any dips.
Technical indicators such as stochastic and RSI are reflecting the recent buying pressure, but they also hint at potential exhaustion in the near future. If these oscillators turn lower from here, it could mean sellers stepping back in near resistance.
