WTI Oil Prices Rebound on US-Iran Talks, Supply Concerns Remain
The price of West Texas Intermediate (WTI) oil rebounded on Wednesday after five consecutive days of losses, reaching around $92 as traders assessed the latest Middle East developments and US inventory data.
US Secretary of State Marco Rubio described the indirect talks between the US and Iran as 'positive but not a breakthrough', adding that they were largely an exchange of ideas and messages.
The Saudi Arabia's restart of its East-West pipeline has eased some supply concerns, but shipping through Hormuz remains severely restricted. Preliminary data showed three commodity vessels crossing on Tuesday, down from four the previous day and below the recent 10-day average of about 15.
