Wyoming Gas Prices Dip Amid Middle East Diplomatic Optimism

Campbell County's average gas price dipped to $4.07 per gallon on Monday, down 4 cents from last week, according to AAA. This follows a broader trend in Wyoming, where the average price fell by 5 cents to $4.09 per gallon.

The national average, however, is still higher than it was a month ago, up 28.5 cents at $4.05 per gallon. Oil prices declined on Monday due to optimism over potential diplomatic deals in the Middle East, with West Texas Intermediate crude falling $5.73 to $78.94 per barrel.

GasBuddy's Patrick De Haan warned that market outlook could shift if there are changes in the Middle East or Ukraine. The U.S. Energy Information Administration reported a 7.2 million-barrel drop in commercial crude inventories, leaving national stockpiles about 7% below the five-year average.
