The Yemeni army has launched a series of missile attacks on strategic targets in Saudi Arabia. Domestically-manufactured ballistic missiles hit their designated targets inside King Khalid Air Base, near the city of Khamis Mushait, with some areas experiencing electricity blackouts following the strikes.

Yemeni forces also struck an oil facility belonging to Saudi Aramco in Jizan, causing powerful explosions that rocked the area. Flights to Riyadh and other cities were diverted as a result of the attacks, with Prince Abdulmohsen Bin Abdulaziz International Airport in Yanbu and King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz International Airport suspending their operations.

The Yemeni government declared a maritime blockade on Saudi Arabia earlier this week, effective immediately. The attacks are reportedly in response to Riyadh's ongoing military aggression and siege against Yemen.
