Zodiac Gold Discovers Gold and Critical Minerals in Liberia
Zodiac Gold Inc., a West African gold explorer, has released soil survey results identifying gold and critical mineral anomalies in its Liberian licenses. The company's September 28, 2026, release covers results from its Bomi South and Bong West licenses, which overlap with some of the most anomalous areas in Liberia's national stream-sediment dataset.
The survey identified coherent multi-kilometer anomalies in gold, nickel, cobalt, chromium, and copper within the company's 2,316-square-kilometer land package. The results are consistent with national data and point to polymetallic potential in the region.
Zodiac Gold CEO David Kol stated that the soil sampling program has confirmed indications of critical mineral potential across the license package, which may be a significant additional opportunity for the company. He noted that Liberia is well-positioned to contribute to allied supply chains due to its historical ties with the United States and English-speaking business environment.
The company's focus remains on gold exploration, but the results suggest that the licenses may also host multiple mineralizing systems.
