0G Expands Wrapped Token Across Major Networks
0G, a blockchain designed for AI workloads, has expanded its wrapped token to four major networks: Ethereum, Solana, Base, and Robinhood Chain. This move enables users to trade, bridge, and stake the native 0G token without being tied to a single chain.
The wrapped version of the token, called W0G, lives on each external network with its own contract address. The Solana deployment uses the SPL token standard at 9 decimals.
Chainlink's Cross-Chain Interoperability Protocol powers cross-chain operations in this expansion. The inclusion of Robinhood Chain is notable, as it has positioned itself as a hub for tokenized real-world assets and has already shown significant activity with periods exceeding $1M in fees alongside substantial DEX volume.
The expansion aims to increase the 0G token's reach and usability across various ecosystems. With Ethereum remaining the largest DeFi ecosystem by total value locked, Solana popular among retail traders, and Base offering a growing user base and tight integration with Coinbase, this move is strategic for 0G's growth.
