0G's Compute Finance Framework Turns AI Compute into Financial Asset
0G has launched its 'Compute Finance' framework to turn AI compute into a financial asset. This new system allows users to hold, earn, and spend claims linked to AI-compute capacity rather than treating compute as a service purchased on demand.
The company's Ascend liquid-staking product is already live, while the iAI compute-focused asset is scheduled to launch on September 29. With Ascend, users can stake their 0G tokens and receive a liquid staking asset called a0G, allowing them to retain DeFi flexibility while the underlying tokens remain staked.
The next layer of 0G's system is the iAI digital asset, designed as a compute-focused token that can be minted using a0G. Eligible iAI can then be staked to receive compute credits usable across supported 0G AI products, including its Private Computer environment and consumer-facing applications.
While the initial parameters are set around compute-credit usage worth more than $1 per day for eligible staked iAI, users should note that this is not a guaranteed cash yield. The broader concept of financializing infrastructure itself is more interesting than the individual token.
