Decentralized trading infrastructure provider 0x has released data showing that it has routed over 82 million transactions, totaling $426.7 billion in volume, with approximately 70% of those touching Uniswap liquidity.

In a recent statement, 0x noted an increase in malicious Uniswap v4 hooks, which trick aggregators, wallets, and trading applications into giving users a certain price for a trade, only to settle at a different price, resulting in illicit gains.

After analyzing over 84,163 hooks on six blockchain chains, 0x found that only 19.4% were secure, while 54.2% were malicious and 26.4% potentially malicious.

The company warned that transactions routed through malicious v4 hooks could result in actual payout amounts being as much as 50% less than the quoted price.
