$1,000 XRP Hype Revived Amid Speculation and Skepticism
The prospect of XRP reaching $1,000 has resurfaced in the crypto community, sparking renewed debate about its feasibility. The discussion began after EasyA co-founder Dom Kwok made remarks suggesting that a four-figure price for XRP is more likely than ever.
Kwok's comments drew attention from several prominent figures, including Crypto in America host Eleanor Terrett and Jake Claver, Chairman of Digital Ascension Group. While some have expressed skepticism about the ambitious target, others argue that Kwok's professional credentials, which include stints at Goldman Sachs and Circle, lend credibility to his views.
XRP was trading at approximately $1.60 at press time, with a market capitalization of around $100.7 billion based on a circulating supply of roughly 63 billion tokens. To reach $1,000, XRP would need to surge by about 62,400%, which would result in an implied market capitalization of over $63 trillion.
However, not everyone shares the optimism surrounding the prospect of XRP reaching four figures. Crypto analyst ChartNerd characterized the $1,000 target as hype and cautioned traders against placing too much weight on aggressive XRP forecasts.
