$100M Binance Investment Bolsters Stablecoin Market as DigiTap's Crypto Card Hits the Ground Running
Binance's recent investment in Circle has sent shockwaves through the stablecoin market, with the exchange putting $100 million behind the company that issues USDC. This move comes as DigiTap, a platform that allows users to spend cryptocurrency without needing to know your customer (KYC) information, is already live with its beta app and crypto card available for download. The no-KYC feature adds another direct retail hook, making it easier for consumers to hold and spend digital assets.
According to the source, more than 10,000 cards have been issued by DigiTap, and over $12.6 million has been raised in its presale before the token's first exchange trade. The current price of $TAP is $0.0589, with Round 4 already selling out at an 85% rate.
The Binance investment in Circle highlights the growing attention on stablecoins and their use cases beyond trading. As digital dollars become a more significant part of how money moves on-chain, platforms like DigiTap are positioning themselves for success by offering real-world applications for cryptocurrencies.
