$100M+ in Bitcoin Stolen from Coldcard Hard Wallets
Hackers have made off with more than $100 million US worth of Bitcoin from Coldcard hard wallets, according to blockchain intelligence firm Galaxy Research. The thefts occurred in attacks on the wallet, which is marketed as 'cold storage' for Bitcoin users who want to keep their keys offline.
Coldcard was created by Toronto-based company Coinkite and has been widely praised by users and security experts as one of the most secure places to store Bitcoin. However, it's still unclear who is behind the attacks.
