115k BTC Accumulation Stalls for Large Wallets
CryptoQuant data reveals that wallets holding 100 or more Bitcoin (BTC) added a net total of approximately 115,000 BTC between January 1 and September 16, 2026.
Despite the Bitcoin price remaining below its year-opening level during this period, large wallets were mostly in accumulation mode. The movement of these wallets showed that they not only took advantage of dips but also made net additions while the price was rising.
In August, the largest green weekly flows of the year were recorded, indicating that large wallets continued to accumulate Bitcoin even as the price broke out in June.
However, in September, the Bitcoin price failed to hold the $80,000 level, and the chart turned into a red bar indicating a net reduction in wallets holding 100 or more BTC. This suggests that a portion of the months-long accumulation was given back, but the entire 115,000 BTC net addition did not disappear.
