$1.1M Lost in Crypto Scam Using Personal Connections

A recent cryptocurrency scheme has left consumers in Bonner County, Idaho, financially devastated. According to the Better Business Bureau's Scam Tracker, more than $1.1 million in reported losses have been logged since January from a crypto scam operating as BG Wealth and DSJEX.

The danger of this scheme lies in its use of personal connections to lure victims into investing. Members of church families, friends, and community leaders are all being used to pitch the investment opportunity.

A local resident reported that her colleague's mom was invited to invest by members of their church family, who claimed they were making a fortune with BG Wealth and DSJEX.
