1.2M ATOM Tokens Seized in Cosmos Hub Governance Attack
Cosmos Hub validators have secured approximately 1.23 million ATOM tokens tied to the Neutron governance attack that occurred on September 22nd.
The funds, however, cannot be distributed until a recovery plan is completed and Hub governance authorizes the transfer.
A balance check conducted on September 26th recorded 1,227,121.374688 ATOM in the recovery address, but no passed Hub mandate has authorized its transfer yet.
The recovery plan is being prepared by Neutron contributors and affected protocols, but it's unclear when distributions will begin or whether all losses will be reimbursed.
