$1.32 Billion Lost as Crypto Hacks Continue Unabated
Crypto hacks have resulted in $1.32 billion in losses for the first half of this year, according to data shared by Onchain Lens on X.
The largest losses came from access control failures, phishing attacks, and oracle issues, with most attacks resulting in massive losses due to access-control failures.
The two biggest incidents occurred in April, involving Kelp DAO and Drift Protocol for $292 million and $280 million, respectively.
Phishing and social engineering attacks also resulted in a loss of $282 million, while oracle issues were the third major attack vector, with Bonzo Finance, Ostium, and the Blend protocol all losing millions due to oracle exploits.
