19K Bitcoin Sent to Exchanges Amid Market Caution
Recent on-chain data indicates that Bitcoin's short-term holders are struggling to stay above water. Over the past 24 hours, approximately 19,200 BTC was sent to exchanges at a loss by these wallets, valued at roughly $540 million at current prices.
This spike in exchange deposits is not an extreme outlier but is noticeable compared to recent daily averages. Short-term holders are typically more reactive to price swings and tend to cut losses when their positions slip into the red.
The move comes as Bitcoin's price has struggled to hold key levels, raising questions about whether this wave of loss-taking will accelerate selling pressure in the market.
