2026's Top AI Stocks May Not Be Tomorrow's Leaders

Share

The AI stock market has seen significant growth in recent years, but experts warn that the best-performing stocks of 2026 may not be the same as those that will excel over a three-year period.

According to BeInCrypto's layer rotation tracker, compute stocks rose by 64.7% across the full window, but slipped 3.4% in the latest month, while apps and software jumped by 22.8%.

The AI trade can be divided into four groups: chipmakers (compute), power and infrastructure, hyperscalers, and apps and software.

Chipmaker Nvidia's data-center revenue hit $75.2 billion last quarter, up 92%, but the stock barely moved, indicating that investors have largely priced in the boom.

Hyperscalers, including Alphabet, Amazon, and Microsoft, are well-placed for a three-year view, as their cloud arms are already converting spend into revenue.
