21Shares Converts Polkadot ETF to Staking Version with TDOT Ticker
Crypto asset manager 21Shares has rebranded its existing Polkadot exchange-traded fund (ETF) as the Polkadot Staking ETF and registered a new ticker TDOT with the Depository Trust & Clearing Corporation.
The fund directly holds spot DOT tokens, stakes between 40% and 95% of its holdings through validators to generate staking yields, which are distributed quarterly to shareholders. This move allows investors to earn passive income from their crypto exposure without managing validators themselves.
The change reflects a growing trend among asset managers to incorporate staking features into digital asset funds as demand for yield-generating products in the crypto space continues to rise.
