21X Expands into US with Broker-Dealer Application and New Leadership
21X LLC has announced its intention to seek regulatory approval to operate as a US broker-dealer, marking the company's first expansion into the world's largest capital market. The new entity will offer an alternative trading system (ATS) for tokenized securities, allowing subscribers to trade these assets.
Ray Tierney, a veteran of the capital markets, has been appointed CEO of 21X LLC and will lead US operations. Max Heinzle, Founder and CEO of 21X Group, stated that the company's ambition is to expand globally and that recent regulatory advances in the US have made it an attractive market for tokenized securities trading.
21X Group has already established itself as a leader in the transition from traditional to tokenized asset-based capital markets. Its platform in the EU enables atomic trading without counterparty risk through smart contract-based issuance, trading, and settlement of tokenized stocks, bonds, and funds.
