$2.5B RWA Volume: Uniswap's Tokenization Boom Takes Shape
Uniswap's Real-World Assets (RWA) volume has hit a record $2.5B, driven largely by tokenized stocks.
This milestone comes after the integration with Robinhood Chain last month and follows Uniswap's unveiling of 'permissioned pools' to capture the growing tokenization boom.
According to Bitwise CIO Matt Hougan, this expansion beyond traditional crypto markets is a 'wrong framing'. Instead, the total addressable market (TAM) for platforms like Uniswap now includes credit and stock markets.
Uniswap CEO Hayden Adams reacted to the growth by saying it's 'crazy to see it actually happening after all these years.'
The boom is expected to boost collected revenue, which will go directly into Uniswap's buyback and burn program. The price of $UNI has cooled off 25% from its Q3 rally high, but a defense of the 200-day Moving Average (MA) could lead to a recovery.
Standard Chartered Bank is more optimistic, predicting that $UNI will rally 40x to $100 in the long run.
