$2.8 Million Revenue and 22,000 Base Stations: GEODNET's Decentralized Positioning Layer Expands
GEODNET has expanded its global positioning layer to include over 22,000 base stations. This decentralized network provides centimeter-level positioning data to AI-driven devices. GEODNET's real-time kinematic corrections (RTK) allow for accurate location tracking by broadcasting correction data from ground-based reference stations.
GEODNET serves more than 150 enterprise customers, including those in the drone, robotics, autonomous vehicle, precision agriculture, and surveying industries. The project reported revenue of $2.8 million in Q3 2026, a rare instance of a DePIN network showing paying clients beyond its token economy.
GEODNET's decentralized approach involves independent hardware operators setting up base stations and earning token rewards for doing so. The native token is $GEOD, which has migrated to the Solana blockchain. GEODNET directs 80% of its revenue toward buybacks and burns of $GEOD, permanently removing tokens from circulation.
The project's growth continues with new product showcases at CES 2026, including the GEO-MEASURE and GEO-PULSE devices. GEODNET raised $8M in a strategic funding round led by Multicoin Capital in February 2025.
