$2M Raise: BlockDAG's Live Infrastructure Sets It Apart from Hype-Based Presales
Blockchain projects are separating themselves from presales that promise much but deliver little. Two notable examples of this trend include Internet Computer (ICP) and BlockDAG.
Internet Computer is currently trading at around $2.10 with a market cap near $1.15 billion, despite its price being far below its 2021 peak after a long decline. However, the project has been making significant strides in terms of on-chain activity, processing over 3.16 billion transactions in July and rolling out a beta of its MCP server, which enables AI agents to interact directly with on-chain applications.
BlockDAG, on the other hand, raised $2 million in its first 24 hours at a Stage 1 price of $0.00002, with the project framing this demand as a response to working infrastructure rather than a roadmap. The project claims that its blockchain mainnet is live and its casino is already operational and generating user activity.
The contrast between these two projects highlights the tension in the market between those that focus on usage and those that rely on attention.
