$38 Million Boost for JPYC Stablecoin in Extended Series B Round
JPYC, Japan's first registered stablecoin issuer under the Payment Services Act, has secured a fresh capital boost of $38 million in its extended Series B round. The company confirmed this week that logistics giant AZ-COM Maruwa Holdings joined as the newest backer.
The funding will be used to fund JPYC's financial infrastructure, grow its Web3 ecosystem, and accelerate adoption of the yen-pegged token across Japan.
JPYC launched in October 2025 and operates on four blockchains: Ethereum, Polygon, Avalanche, and Kaia. It has started real-world pilots at retail shops, restaurants, and medical facilities, with convenience store chain Lawson testing JPYC at checkout.
