$3.8 Million Exploit Hits NEAR Intents, Halted Services Promised
NEAR Intents, a protocol for swapping crypto across blockchains, has halted services after an exploit resulted in losses of approximately $3.8 million.
The team blamed a bug in how its Omni deposit and withdrawal infrastructure interacted with the NEAR Intents smart contract, but pledged to fully compensate the lost funds.
Deposits and withdrawals on 11 blockchain networks, including BSC, Polygon, and Optimism, will be unavailable for around 12 hours after the team's hot wallet showed irregular outflows.
