$3.8M Hack Hits NEAR Intents Days After Freezing Stolen Funds
NEAR Intents, a multichain transaction protocol, was hacked for $3.8 million on October 1st after an exploit of its Omni deposit and withdrawal infrastructure.
The security incident was revealed at 2pm GMT+1, with the protocol claiming that its services would resume within the hour after it patched the 'contract-side vulnerability.'
However, deposits and withdrawals across several networks, including BSC, Polygon, TON, Optimism, Avalanche, Stellar, Monad, LayerX, Adi, Scroll, and Plasma, remain unavailable until Omni infrastructure is patched.
The protocol's General Manager, Alex Shevchenko, revealed that $50 million worth of Bitget funds tried to pass through the protocol earlier this month after a hack on centralised crypto exchange Bitget for over $380 million.
