A bug in NEAR Intents' Omni deposit and withdrawal infrastructure was exploited, resulting in a loss of approximately $3.8 million.

The platform's GM, Alex Shevchenko, identified the hacker behind the attack and gave them 48 hours to return the stolen funds. The attacker has been asked to send the money back to Bitcoin, BNB/Ethereum, or Solana addresses.

The exploit was isolated to USDT on BSC, and NEAR's core blockchain and native token were not affected. Shevchenko warned the hacker that after 48 hours, 'that window closes,' implying that any further attempts to keep the funds would be met with consequences.
