$457 Billion in Taxable Crypto Activity Missed by CARF Estimates
Chainalysis has estimated that there was $457B in taxable crypto activity last year. The company stated that the Common Reporting Standard (CARF) missed most of this activity, as it is only used to report on cryptocurrency transactions above $1 million.
This means that much of the taxable activity went unreported and undetected by CARF. Chainalysis emphasized that their estimate was based on data from 2022, which may not reflect the current market situation.
