More than 50,000 Europeans have petitioned the European Commission to relax restrictions on stablecoin rewards under the Markets in Crypto-Assets (MiCA) framework.

The campaign, which calls for regulated stablecoins to offer incentives such as cashback, loyalty benefits, and fee reductions, has gained significant traction.

At the same time, European central banks are pushing for the existing ban on stablecoin interest to be expanded to cover indirect yield-generating activities.

The petition, which has garnered widespread support, highlights the need for a more nuanced approach to regulating stablecoins in the EU.
