$560k in Crypto Seized from Hamas Fundraising Ring
The US Department of Justice has confiscated over $560,000 in cryptocurrencies from Hamas's fundraising operations.
Court orders authorized the FBI to seize the funds and disrupt communication channels used by the group to solicit financing from its sympathizers.
The investigation began in March 2025 and continued through August 2026. The agency first seized about $200,000 in stablecoins in March, leading to further investigation.
Hamas attempted to use various obfuscation techniques, including bridging funds between networks and utilizing single-use donation wallets.
